So, what is multiculturalism and citizenship?

Even if you don’t already know what multiculturalism or citizenship are, which i doubt, it’s really easy to find out through a simple internet search. Taking that into consideration I feel as though it would be useless to simply transcribe a definition from a dictionary.
Personally, I would define multiculturalism as a mixture of cultures that emerges when people from different places and upbringings coexist and parts of their cultures get muddled together, almost giving rise to an entirely new culture, I would say.
As people travel and emmigrate for longer periods of time and to more distant places, in part due to how accessible and easy travelling from place to place has become due to low cost flights and accommodation. Furthermore, the rise in internet users helps in this multiculturalization, by making possible interactions between people from different cultures, without the need of travelling or even spending money. Simply put, when we interact with people with different cultures, either online or physically, we might leave a part of our own culture that can be assimilated into theirs, and vice versa.
Finally, in this blog, we aim to discuss the social and cultural implications that multiculturalization brings to a society or even how this occurrence might influence mankind as a whole in the future. All the while recognizing the importance of having conversations about subjects of this sort.
